After 2 months of amazing travel, the VanOsses are settling down. Yup, for 5 1/2 whole months we are going to be living at the house referred to by our family simply as “Badgett.” Oh how things have changed! The seasons have rolled from summer to fall and Tim and I have moved from our little apartment in Seattle to an old home in Knoxville. We drive a windy road back to our East Tennessee house and I still gawk at the amount of land in which we are allotted to live. No one above us, no one below us.
We have also been spoiled by this unbelievably fabulous fall weather over the past week!! I like to refer to the crisp perfection of fall as “Football weather,” because that is what it is – the time to turn on the game (whether you watch it or not), make a big pot of chili, and cross stitch (OK, that last one is just me but you get the idea). As for the ‘unemployment’ part of the blog title, I am on the job hunt. I’m feeling a little lost as to how I will spend my days these winter months and how we will have money for food on the table, but it is also grounding to trust the Lord and we both believe He is going to provide in abundance.
I also do not have too much time to worry… My little sister, Molly Blane, is getting married this Saturday and there is an abundance of celebration ahead!! Much more to come on our time in Tennessee — including, but not limited to: new niece for Ashley and Tim, bake-a-thons, and weekend excursions around the South!
