We are wrapping up this pregnancy y’all! First, I have to show you the newest picture of our son. I have to confess that I have always been a little unsure of the 3D photos, but I can’t get enough of this one taken of Baby VanOss at 33 weeks —
Baby V is now gaining about 1/2 lb every week and there are a lot of mornings I wake up and I think I can visibly see his growth over night. He weighs over 5 lbs at this point and is about the size of a honeydew. As of next week, 37 weeks, he is considered fully developed and can come any time in the month ahead. We can’t wait to meet him!
As for me, I am definitely slowing down, grunting more often, super emotional, and spending most of my free time anticipating the months ahead by making list upon list of things to do (apparently it is time to dust all the fans?). Overall, I still feel good and thankful for the ability to stay active in this last month!
Here is a pic of the belly at 35 weeks:
OK, OK but here is a more realistic pic of how I look — me in Tim’s sweats and slippers in the grocery parking lot:
People keep asking us about his name. While we have several names that we like, we are waiting until we see his little face and hold him in our arms to name him (admittedly, we feel a little pressure picking a NAME he will have forever!).
That is all for now. Thank you for your continued prayer and encouragement for us. We are thankful for this season of advent and as we anticipate our sons arrival we are reminded of the hope and the humility that surround us this season. Thankful that, in the words of Brennan Manning, “God entered in to our world not with the crushing impact of unbearable glory but in the way of weakness, vulnerability, and need.”
